Costume-Con Fifteen Regency Dancing

or, "Dances in the Fashion of the English Regency as Done by Certain Modern Admirers of the Same"

Please join us Monday afternoon for a brief interlude of dance to wind down Costume-Con Fifteen. Following in a tradition drawn from science fiction fandom and the organization "Friends of the English Regency," we will be teaching and dancing a program of country dances and waltzes choreographed by John Hertz in the style of the early 19th-century England. This will include the popular waltz, the "Congress of Vienna."

Period costume ("Empire" style, loosely speaking, 1795-1825) is encouraged, but not required. Soft shoes are highly recommended.

Light refreshments will be provided.
