Rules: DOLL CONTEST
Whether you attend the convention or not, you may submit one or more costumed dolls for the Doll Contest. Non-convention members may submit dolls, but will be charged $5.00 per doll entered. All dolls submitted must be costumed in original garments; purchased doll clothes are not eligible. Dolls themselves may be purchased or made. Costumes may be historical, SF/Fantasy or any type you choose. An entry form (copyable) is included with this mailing.
There will be three categories for judging:
Human/humanoid dolls 12 1/2" or under
Human/humanoid dolls over 12 1/2"
Non-human dolls (animals, aliens, etc.)
You may submit documentation (photocopies, photos, etc, but no original material) with your doll. In addition to awards in each category, judges may award prizes for workmanship, originality, authenticity or other categories as they see fit.
Dolls may be brought to the convention or mailed in advance. If mailing, send doll and entry form (and check for non-members) directly to Trudi Pring at the address below and be sure to mail so the dolls arrive before FEB. 15. We will mail your dolls back to you, if you provide sufficient postage.
Entries will be accepted at the convention through noon on Saturday. Bring your doll(s) and the entry form(s) to the registration desk. All dolls will be on display throughout the convention. (If your doll does not stand on its own, please provide support stands as well.) Judging will take place on Sunday afternoon, with winners announced at the historical masquerade that night.
